Personality/History: Originally born to a wild herd, Idolon was captured as a yearling along with his mother. However, life in captivity suited him, and the young ballator found his calling working in the mountains of northern Arizona. He is primarily used as a trail horse, his hooves strong enough to go barefoot. His real training, however, is in search and rescue. He took to it naturally; scenting a lost hiker is the same thrill as hunting, and he can get to places where vehicles have trouble. He takes great pride in finding lost people and enjoys working as a team with his rider. He is fearless and determined and will face down any challenge.

Quirks: Idolon thinks of himself as quite heroic, whether saving lost humans or defending mares and foals in distress. He has a tendency to posture and pose when he's being watched, always turning himself so the sun looks dramatic on his coat and his mane and tail blow just right in the wind.
