Graduation and GRUBENHAUS
After seven long years I finally completed my studies with a degree in medieval history. First I had planned to look for a nicely paid job in Luxembourg, my home-country. But now it rather seems as if I'm going to stay in sweet old Germany for another couple of years to write my thesis.
This also means that I'm going to continue some of my favourite pastimes (yay): living history and experimental archaeology. Still the "Prachtmantel" project is going on, the loom has been warped and now longs to be plied with a soft weft. But this year I'll focus on replicating European textiles from

THE PLACE WHERE I WORK AND LIVE
I live and work as a mounted tour guide at Íshestar Riding Tours in Hafnarfjörður, only a stone-throw away from Reykjavík. For me it's one of the best summerjobs i've had so far!!! :D I ride at least 3 times a day, get to know a lot of people from all over the world, have the opportunity to refresh and improve my language skills in Icelandic and the best thing is that i get enough spare time to visit the gorgeous countryside and historical sites in the surroundings!!! :dance:
