(It's been forever since I've done a critique, but I'll try anyway. I would have done this sooner but school got in the way :/ )
To be honest I do really like this piece because of how simple yet funny it is; just looking at his face gives me a good chuckle.
Anyway, one of the things that catches me off guard is that while the face is smooth & well done, one of the eyes is a bit bigger than the other. I'm not sure about whether or not that's good or bad in this context, just what I felt like needed to be pointed out. (That being said the eye shading
The shading on Drache's vest (or, shirt?) is very nicely done, being somewhat realistic while also having charm. The pink and brown shades remind me of dyed leather, with the added in fluff usually in some jackets. Warm and cozy, it must be.
His position is nothing exceptional, but it's not overused at all; Drache looks quite pleased to simply be relaxing under a calm lavender light, and the emotion in his face and hand gesture match that...almost perfectly. The anatomy is rounded and slim, but realistic, too.
However, the couch he's sitting on has edges (the black lines) that are way too sharp, though, I can understand if that's nitpicky. Regardless the shift in color from a light brown to an almost greenish tinge makes me wonder what he's doing...perhaps simply looking out his window, or watching something? Still pleasant whatever it is.
Overall this piece is well-made and one of your best ones, Mia.
Nothing more needs to be said, just keep at it; you're certainly better than me!
