Sometimes I wish I lived a life like that :D From where I stand it looks much more fun than a freelance artist's!

Strongly reminds me of the style of Wayne Barlowe ;)

It was certainly meant to be, since I'm a fan of his work ;)

In Earth's geologically far distant future, the land of Zul Bel Zair in Zothique observes a curious custom: all the dead MUST be conveyed to the temple of - Mordiggian, a god-thing that eats the dead (even re-animated dead).

Its priests are NOT human...

Haha, yeah! Mordiggian's the god of death, so some morbid attributes are essential ;)

Already have! Since my last comment I've been reading a lot more. I'm not sure if I like his writing better than H. P. Lovecraft or not, they're both great.

Agreed! I don't know who was a better writer, but HPL is more macabre and he was dead serious about it -- that's why I'm inclined to his side :)

True. Clark Ashton Smith has great atmosphere in his stories too. I've also been reading some of Robert E. Howard lately.

REH is also really good with eldritch horror. No wonder they were friends with HPL.

I really need to find some of his horror. Do you have any suggestions?
