Looking at your picture I have to laugh a little bit about myself in the remember of some pictures of Lago di Garda I took there a few years ago. Walking on the way back from Lago di Ledro on to Riva along the old Ponale Street you have lot of wooden crash barriers there...I had many good views from the montains down to Riva, often with that crash barriers in the foreground...but afterwards looking at my photos at home, I realized these shots were very more worth because of the shadows of the barriers - but they had been only seen from the eye of my camera, not from my eyes itselfs...

Me too, I tried to use the barriers to compose the photo (not only this one, practically the whole path is bordered by fences, there are horses grazing) but then I was amazed by the textures that manage to draw the shadows :D
