Beneath the mountain’s ancient, brooding brow, Where glaciers once caressed the granite’s face, A fragment slumbered, nameless, lost to time, A whisper in the bedrock’s cold embrace. Grief moved in... they've pitched a tent demanded a shower tea, coffee, bonox... UNINVITED! Grief wants a hot breakfast smoko, counter meal at noon high tea, four course meal the works! Grief won't let me sleep in anymore it doesn't let me have the remote no TV surfing, forced to sleep on the couch. Grief is obnoxious, doesn't care. Grief stinks! Grief won't pick up after itself. I was inspired by JosephBlakeParker's (josephblakeparker.deviantart.c…) Greenbat tutorials (greenbat-tutorials.deviantart.…) to begin the 'Write-a-novel exercises', and since I aspire to be a writer, I thought this would also be a nice introduction. I wish you the very best of luck! Best advice I can give is that the key to becoming a good writer is writing, a lot. It sounds like you already love telling stories all the time, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem for you, but it's all about that practice.

Also, I strongly recommend you watch Brandon Sanderson's university lectures. He gives some fantastic advice. Links are in the description of this also-helpful but unrelated video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBixZY…
