Some of you may not know that it's breast cancer awareness month (if so, where were you when the race for life was going on?

). Tomorrow is kind of 'the' day for breast cancer. The cancer research shop I volunteer in is having a huge party! It's theme? Well, pink of course! Pink sweets, pink drinks, pink products, everything you can think of is going to be pink.
Being a woman myself I know the dangers of cancer. Not just breast cancer. A good friend of mine recently passed away from a brain tumour, and a few years ago, a relation of mine died from lung cancer.
Did you now that
every 3 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK?Did you know that
breast cancer doesn't affect just women? In 2004, there were 44,659 new cases of breast cancer diagnosed in the UK: 44,335 (99%) in women and 324 (1%) in men.
Did you know that
Breast cancer causes more than 12,500 deaths each year in the UK and that is is the most common cancer?
I'm not trying to preach to the masses, but please spread the word

And for the love of God learn to LOVE YOUR BREASTS. They are not disgusting, it' snot taboo to touch them. I DO IT. I want to stay healthy, I want to know what's going on in my body so have a good feel! Your breasts can be lumpy at different times during the month and breast cancer don't always give obvious signs. Common signs are lumps, areas of thickening or dimples on your breast. Less common signs include breast swelling and redness or an enlarged underarm lymph node.
Don't feel that you are a hypochondriac. See your doctor straight away if you are worried. It may turn out that these lumps are perfectly normal, but catching breast cancer early on may just save your life.
So when you're out and about tomorrow. Buy a pin, get in on the partying, as Tesco says
every little helps. You never know, you may become a recipient of the charity one day.
Now enough of my talking, who wants the art? Theme? Breasts of course!
Please respect the models.
