"My name is Jane! I'm just a short, completely normal high school student!" Such an uninteresting self-introduction from a modern fantasy story came to her mind. By the time she returned from outside, passed through the kitchen, and somehow made it to her room, it was mid-afternoon, and she was exhausted enough to think of such an inconsequential thing.
The morning had gone quite well. She had enjoyed strawberries for breakfast, and was even able to make good progress on a drawing. It was in the afternoon when she got caught up in trouble. Jane's father, due to his allergies, had hired someone cut down the magnificent hawthorn tree in the backyard. Jane felt a bit sad while watching from the window in her room, but when the tree fell something unusual happened.

I love the idea that Ryder and Rolanda are kinda like Teletoon and Teletoon At Night type thing, know what I'm saying? Other than that, good story!
