The artist is their own worst critic. Truer words couldn't have been said.
I've drawn things, only to not care for them after some time later. It doesn't help to look at other artists, artists one would follow, and feel that one's own skill doesn't come close. Feeling blah, I start to not care to draw. Later, I see different art pieces from different artists, as well as the artists I follow, and I get inspiration. I draw something, and I notice that I have, at least, improved, and the whole thing starts over again.

Not sure how many people read the comics from the newspapers (or online), but there is a comic that really needs support and it's 'Cow & Boy'. It may seem like a 'Calvin & Hobbes' copy, and parts of it does have some resemblance, but it has enough of it's own material to stand on it's own.
