22x28 inches, oil on canvas.

A tribute to Jennifer Bartlett.

What may be originally perceived to be a quiet and solitary scene conceals a subtle struggle of colors. Although the overall atmosphere lends a naturalistic, earthy sensation to the viewer there are distinct warm and cool tones that are disguised within. Red drips and smears are strategically placed within the piece against the blue panes of the window. Throughout the rubble the same reds and blues highlight different aspects of this piece, keeping the viewer's eye entertained though they may not even be aware of it. The subtly of this conflict creates a most interesting effect by effecting the viewer on a subconscious level.

Yes, very nicely done. I love that aqua blue of the back, nice depth effect!

Thank you. I was so happy to find that color in the wreckage.

I just love the colors in this one! And the over growth of plants almost add a hint of magic to an otherwise sad subject matter.

I would give me constructive critique but i need to looks at more Jennifer Bartlett first.
