Glad i did.
The horizon type line is it not level in the painting or is it the picture.
Just curious. (My question is not criticism)

Great question!

I know I myself am a little unbalanced, but in this case I believe it is due to some mild barrel distortion resulting from the focal length of the lens in the camera. In fact, I did use a straight edge to make sure the lines are consistent.

Also feel free to criticize the crap out of any and everything I make or write.
Years of art school have made me appreciate good discussion.

At it's worst, I once had a guest professor compare some of my photography to images of holocaust survivors.
So, pretty much it's been nothing but roses since then!

Thanks very much for checking it out. This was one of the larger works I've made. It really is like a gate you can walk through.

Good for you! 4' x 6' - now that's what I call FUN! OOPS! I do believe you mean 4" x 6" - totally different. Still, this is a very small work? Please clear up my confusion regarding the size! Regardless, it looks beautiful.

48" x 72" - big work. Four feet tall, six feet wide.
I've started working in a larger scale as a return to "wet media" painting for awhile.

The last time I worked this large was probably 1997, 1998. Then, I took a decade away from wet media to work in digital.
Now, the two worlds are melding. I really like being back into this world.

SO COOL! Nothing like it. I wish I could - no space. I found that size freeing to work on. ALLLLLL THAAAAAT SPAAACE!

It is so great. For years, I had stopped working in "traditional" (what I call wet,) media.
When I started painting again, I didn't have the studio and it's damn near impossible to work this size in a basement.

Found a space and signed a 6mo lease as a trial, and never looked back. I think that was 2 years ago.
It has been worth every minute. I have plans to continue working much larger.

Really great work, as already mentioned it is bursting with energy, wonderful colour! This is some size, did you join two canvasses together?

Thanks very much for seeing it. The energy aspect is a key part of it. Yep, I have been interested in the diptych approach for awhile and also wanted to have 2 separate paintings that worked as one larger whole.  I really like your Thailand work too!
