More recent work. This is slightly less oblique.
Probably, there will be versions and variations of this.
Some might even have color.

This is made like print-making.
Thanks for checking it out.

For sure this is a very abstract print.  The only thing that is really intact is the moon.  But even then the moon is tinged with gray matter on top.  Initially when looking at everything under the moon, I see the dominant color being black, and there's a confusion of shapes and lines that could have been initially made to depict a natural setting.  But although, it looks confused, when there are subtle lines that look like they were well measured and cut straight.  So the abstract confusion of mostly black is deliberate but organized.  If animated effects were to be added its like you would have an abstract water setting with the water flowing from the mid-right to bottom left of the picture.  And there would be a wind blowing accompanied by the sound of ruffling leaves of bamboo trees.

This makes me think that there was a natural setting that you once liked visiting by yourself during the night.  It was especially relaxing when the moon was full.  But then a time came when that land was used for development and now its all zoned up with buildings and concrete in a way that is awkward.   A natural setting that is but a shell of what it used to be.

This is a good picture to have around for meditating, thinking, and reflecting.  This would be a nice picture to have in my room when I just want to think in complete silence.  Even if what is under the moon isn't exactly smooth.

Incredible work, I love the looseness in your pieces - I have to force myself to try and capture that impressionistic style, its like going against the grain.

may I have a stupid question? what do you mean by "This is made like print-making."?
I am not very familiar with graphic techniques, I am only an amateur computer graphic hobbyst, but this technique seems like something I would like to explore.

Hey not a stupid question. In short, I made this from various "plates" or drawings, of separate scans, rather than one continuous drawing made all at once.

it is very beautiful and I would like to try to reproduce the effect with some my unfinished pieces, that I expect to benefit from this, I suppose it is not a collage per se, (e.g. you do not scramble parts of the picture on one layer) but probably some kind of layering ... is there some instructional resource, where I could watch or (read about) how the technique is being done, so I can adapt it analogically to my digital needs?

This work is very manga. I really like it. How long did it take you to make it?

Hmmm manga eh? That is pretty cool to hear because I have for some time now been studying Japanese printmaking. Hokusai - an original 'manga' artist in particular. I forget how long this one took but it was two or three days. Thanks very much for checking it out. I appreciate the comment too because I might not have made the connection. Glad you stopped by!

Your welcome. The piece was very well made and felt like it was strongly influenced by Japanese aesthetic, I just went with that intuition. I have not heard of Hokusai, but shall check the artist out. :)
