Shading Tutorial A

A friend of mine asked me for some tips for basic shading so i thought of sharing this with you guys as well.

This is very basic stuff for you guys here but i may be adding some new more advanced stuff in a few days.

I didnt edit/clean any strokes coz my friend is using pencils as well and it would help her to see the individual strokes. :)

Happy to be of service :) i too struggled for years during my younger years where reflected light come from and once i understood it, had to share the knowledge. :)

I learned a bit of this subconciously when playing around with raytracing (spheres on floors etc)... I think it helped though ofcourse knowing the effects by explanation always helps too. Thanks for explaining.

Great examples. Yeah, the reflective light part isn't typically well explained.
