Description

:icondomain-of-the-wolf:

I wanted to make a little Plot for Blutwald to try get my members a little active. Then, I shall post my tasks :paranoid:

The wind was cold and blustery. Winter was at it's end, but it couldn't help but give the area one last good Blizzard. And at such a dire time. The hunter's had often come back with little or no food. It was as if..along with some wolves of Blutwald, the prey were leaving as well. Blutwald's Alphess looked down at the small bundle of blonde fur curled up against her side. She'd given birth to her last pup that Stallion left with her. A small male with fur like sunshine and eyes the color of the sky. Another female in Blutwald also had pups, Crash..and her mate Paxton had left as well. Winema rolled her eyes, What is it with males leaving their responsibilities to their mates?! she thought angrily with a wrinkle of her maw.

This famine had to be addressed before their young pups starved. She was not going to let Blutwald fall. They were a strong pack, even with some members disappearing..two of which were her own daughters... With a heavy sigh she pulled herself to her paws. Having been disrupted from his sleep, Caspian; the little pale cub opened his still milky blue eyes and whined at his mother.

“Go back to sleep, little one.” Winema whispered and licked across his face. Caspian let out another whine and staggered to his paws. Giving a gentle smile she grabbed the pup in her jaws and carried him outside, then hopped onto her den. Setting little Caspian down, he quickly curled up against her belly and tried to nurse.

While he was preoccupied, she let out a long, calling howl into the valley of Blutwald's den sight. Within only a few moments her eldest daughters jumped up on either side of her. Her daughter Bloom to her right and her other daughter Estella to her left. She gave them both affectionate nuzzles and licks. Bloom gave Caspian a long stare before she sat on her haunches and stared at her paws.

Giving a soft sigh, she turned to face the pack that began to gather around. Bloom hadn't been the same since Stallion died and since she'd been attacked by a bear, she'd become even more exclusive—except with Howl.. The pack's murmurs brought her back to reality.

“I'm sorry for disrupting you all, but you all may have noticed that prey has become scarce in Blutwald's territory..” she took a deep breath, “I am not sure why, perhaps this hard winter has driven them to other areas. I am not going to let us starve!” she slammed her paw down.

“This is a state of emergency now that we have pups to feed and we are a rather large pack of wolves. With those in mind, I am allowing everyone; except mother's with pups. The first food must be brought to Crash and I, then to my daughters, the females and the males. And where you might be think we'll find food? Outside our borders. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Blutwald must find food and you will find it outside out borders. Do not leave Blutwald for more than a day if you are hunting alone. If you go hunting in pairs, which is recommended, do not be gone for more than three days. I will be watching who comes back..and who doesn't.” her eyes scanned across her wolves.

“I advise everyone to not cross into neighboring packs. For one, I do not want other packs to think we are growing weak..and they will try to take advantage of us. However, if there is no other chance..and you see prey grazing in the territory..go for it, but do not get caught. I cannot take responsibility for you if you get caught, so be very cautious.” she told them. “Be strong my Blutwald wolves, we will get past this famine, don't you worry!” she howled.

Bloom continued to stare at her paws. It was hard to think that Blutwald was in the middle of a famine with everything else going on. Giving a sideways glance, she watched as her mother picked up her little brother and carried him back into the warm den. He had a lot of similar markings to Stallion, it reminded her too much of her Father. Glancing at her mother, she frowned. Her face looked tired a drawn. She'd noticed her mother hadn't been sleeping well. After Stallion had left, she hadn't slept a lot then she thought her mother had been getting better. But,..after the loss Sava and Polaris..and other wolves from the pack she seemed to be getting worse. No doubt she was thinking the pack might be seeing her as a failure. They hadn't lost this many wolves even with Stallion ruling.. To lose her own children as well.. Her heart ached for her mother. She would find food for her, make her better. Make the pack better!

Bloom said goodbye to her sister and jumped off the den and made swiftly into the Blutwald forest. She wasn't taking any chances of being the last to look for food. She'll find food!
