The carnival was still going full swing, but something was off. There weren’t as many people heading to the arenas anymore. Though people still frequented the markets of course, even this late in the evening. Children laughing, Parents fussing trying to get the children to wind down and head home for the night, other kukuri wandering around shopping in the stalls, everything seemed relatively cheerful. Knight was walking with his mate Quyhn with a purpose in mind. Quyhn seemed uneasy, her head hung low while Knight held his head high. His eyes burned with determination. Quyhn sighed “I have a bad feeling about this” she thought.
“Did you hear what happened in the arena?” Quyhns ear turned towards a group of gossiping kukuri
“Yeah, the infections come back. Everyone in the arenas got it.”
“That can’t be. I was sure we’d been rid of it from last time”
“I thought so too. But I’m just saying what I heard”
