I notice you’re from Chile.

I've found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don't know much their own country,

much less anyone else's. 

 

I post prayer updates about different countries. Part of the reason is to raise
awareness about what's going on in the rest of the world.

 

Recently I’ve started a personal initiative; if I notice someone on DA is from another country, if I've done their country I let them know. It’s my way of letting them know that others are thinking about their home.

Pray for ChileChile is a country in South America.
It is bordered by Peru in the north, Bolivia in the northeast, Argentina in the east,
and the Drake Passage in the far south.
Chilean territory includes the Pacific islands of Juan Fernández,
Salas y Gómez, Desventuradas, Easter Island and areas in Antarctica.
Santiago is the capital.
The population is over 16 million.
FACTS
Some theories say Chile gets its name from an Amerindian word meaning either
'Ends of the earth' or 'Sea gulls'
Chile occupies a long, narrow strip of land between the Andes mountains in the east
and the Pacific Ocean to the west.
Chile's is the longest country in the world in terms of length-to-width ratio.
The northern area is a desert. The southern area is made up of forests and grazing lands.
The southern coast is a made up of fjords, inlets, canals, peninsulas and islands.
