Here is her hair.  It's not the best example of hair in DAZ Studio but it should work most times.

thanks for sharing man...superb, what did you use to make it... hair is one thing I would like to start making too...cheers

I used GLlara to export the OBJ from XPS.  Once in OBJ, I just fit it to Genesis 2 Female then saved it out to use in DAZ Studio.

that is really smart...is there a tutorial to how to save it in daz studio you can point at , as there are a lot of xps awesome and gorgeous hair that I would love to convert man...cheers and danka for sharing

No, there's not real tutorial for this.  It's not terribly difficult.  The real trick is getting the objects from XNALara format and the associated textures to work properly.

i was able to send the obj file in daz...from xps...but wasnt able to "fit to"
would you be able to point out how if its not that difficult..cheers

You'd need to import the OBJ file into another package, fit it to a DAZ figure, then export that out.  Import the adjusted version in DAZ and then save it as a prop or whatever inside of DAZ.

cool cool....found a 3d converter from mesh file to obj and the rest you pointed out is awesome.

This is an awesome hair! Thank you very much for sharing with us :)
Would you happen to know a good tutorial on how to make hairs? I would love to learn to make some and share too...
Also, do you allow us to make textures? I noticed it comes only in blonde :)

This was extracted from a game.  I didn't actually make it.

Oh I see! That was a good job anyway! How did you do it? (Is it possible to do it w the sims hair too?)
sedartonfokcaj's avatar
Might be able too, depends on what format the hair is extracted to.

When I tried to put this hair on the model I get an error:

"Some assets needed to load the file were missing. The content may not work as expected. The following files could not be found:
 /data/Perfect Slam/Tina Armstrong Hair/Tina Armstrong Hair/FUCKING EXPORT_4664.dsf"

Even though the file IS in there. Then a big grey box appears on the model's head.

Oh, evidence of my frustration.  Lemme go look.

Well, it works on my system and I just verified both the .duf and .dsf files.

I wish I could get the DAZ installer packages to work but I think they've locked it out so it only works with their website.  Is this your first item of mine you've installed?
JadedJester's avatar
Yes this is my first item of yours. I'll try downloading and installing your Mila hair and see if that works
Cherubit's avatar
have you managed to make it work? I was able to install and use it in mine, maybe I can help...

What do you want from it? Personally I think it is very nice. Fits Gen2F. And free :D.
