Namesake - The Journey Begins

Namesake is a webcomic best described as a sort of a fairy tale version of Quantum Leap. Namesakes are people who have the power to travel to another world, and that power is passed down through the name. Alices go to Wonderland, Wendies go to Neverland, etc. Emma Crewe discovers she is a Namesake during a library fire and lands in Oz. The Ozites aren’t surprise to see her, but they are surprised she isn’t a Dorothy. Her accidental portal-hopping kicks off the plot; a story full of adventure, fairy tale worlds and 100 year old magical conspiracies. 

I did this drawing this week to celebrate the website redesign. We put it at the beginning of the archive, as a welcome mat to new readers. It’s a really badass welcome mat.
