Dragon Chen was supposed to be a comic, a love letter to Akira Toriyama Dragonball Classic, Kajika several comic works. And to Eiichiro Oda, One Piece, Monsters, several works. Because I thought their works were so great back then and still find them great. There are other inspirations.
Other inspirations were Breath of Fire games, Dragon Quest games, Final Fantasy games, Legend of Zelda games. The protagonist is Chen, who goes on adventures and fights with his friends in a mixture of Dragon Ball Classic and One Piece. Several versions were available for the story either Chen is Shenlong but was desired as a human. that this would have been the prequel to Dragon Ball classic. Among other things, there is a dragon that has been transformed into a human as a baby alternatively. I only ever wrote down the story in small fragments but never really designed a plot. I would have done toriyama style, like with the Cyborg and Cell Saga, just drawn it in freestyle and the story somehow tells itself...🙈😅👍....If anyone has any questions about this, just ask.
