Description
***full view required*** This a carmin bee-eater, one of the most beautiful bird I've ever seen. And I was lucky enough to approach him (less than 10 meters, not hided) near the okavango delta.
I've seen many of them during my trip but not so much in that condition!

This is a very fine picture of a lovely bird. The composition is nice: a little unconventional, but not centered and boring. Part of art is knowing when to break the rules, and you have broken them nicely. The tilt of the head of the bird indicates intelligence, curiosity, watchfulness. That's a very nice pose, and it is what really drew me to the image. The image is nicely sharp and crisp, though there is a little distraction in the bokeh on the lower right. When you take pictures of birds, you take what you get, but if possible, take lots of pictures and choose the best. You have chosen well.
