Pony Tales: Clover - Part 43
“Could you stay bloody still?!” Victoria demanded, swatting Clover upside the head as she leaned over, eyes catching a glimpse of a silver-haired pony walking by the clinic doorway in tow behind Sophie. Clover leaned back to her sitting position quickly.
Clover muttered a line of indecipherable gibberish making Victoria giggle slightly, “You sound cuter than when you have a bit in your mouth.” She said in mild amusement. Using a small towel she wiped up the drool leaking from Clover’s mouth, a mouth that was currently held in place by a dental gag, a very effective tool to keep a ponies mouth open.
She’d just finished scaling Clover’s teeth, checking for cavities and was giving her teeth a scrub with a soft toothbrush loaded with spearmint toothpaste. Clover had huffed the whole time, she hated the dentist back in the vanilla world and this was not any different. Although fact that she was butt naked made it at least interesting.
Victoria frowned a bit and withdrew the brush

Val and Marie continue onward to the next room, having no idea what they will encounter. After a long walk, they reach the ‘exit’ of their current location. The pair turned to each other before going in. Val grabbed and held on to Marie’s soft hand, smiling at her. Marie’s face reddened slightly, as she returned the smile. And the duo proceed to cross over into the unknown.
They emerge from the dark hallway into another white tiled room. This room was significantly smaller than the last one, being in the shape of an octagon. A shallow pool was at the center, matching the shape of the room. Across the room were two pathways to take. Each exit had a stairway. The one on the left leading down and the right leading up.
“So… What’s the move?” Asked Val.
“Honestly, I think we should go up.” Marie replied.
“Hmm… How about we split up? You go-”
Marie angrily cut him off. “NO! We are not splitting up!”
Val laughs. “I’m just kidding! Damn woman… Whatever, let’s go up then.”
Marie sighed

We open with Benjy, Maya, and Dylan only just finishing telling their friends and mentors about what happened on Earth-931117.
Benjy: ...and then we got sent back here.
Natasha sits in silence, trying to completely understand what happened and come to grips with the events she was just told.
Natasha: Okay, I think I understand. And you guys are absolutely fine after all that's happened?
Maya, Dylan, and Benjy: Yes, Ma'am.
Natasha: Alright. In that case, I shall tell ARMOR that you three are already back safe and sound. After that, you can take a few days to yourselves unless told otherwise. Benjy, please meet me in my office after you finish speaking with your teammates. Everyone, dismissed.
Black Widow takes her leave and lets her students speak amongst themselves.
Amadeus: Hard to believe that Benjy would go full blown Darth Vader on us...

Light as a Character
Light is one of the most powerful tools in photography, shaping mood, depth, and storytelling in ways that go beyond mere illumination. In many ways, light in photography functions like a character in a novel—it influences the scene, drives emotion, and alters the perception of the moment. For writers, understanding the nuances of light can be a gateway to crafting more vivid and atmospheric prose. This article explores how photographers use light as a storytelling element and how writers can translate these visual techniques into their narratives.
The Emotional Weight of Light
Photographers carefully manipulate light to create specific moods, just as writers use language to evoke emotion. A soft, golden glow can convey warmth and nostalgia, while harsh, directional lighting can introduce tension and drama. For a writer, understanding these variations can be an asset in describing settings that feel alive and immersive.
