1,080 words!
A new space of Vixen’s Vale has finally been built and it was specifically for the kits to play and have fun. Before the kits can step their first paws into the building, Pharoah, Black Pansy, and Yellow Pansy have volunteered to complete one more task for Vixen’s Vale. Their paws have been filled with cleaning and taking care of animals younger than them so why not continue it? It gave them the experience, as the trio knew that kits were nowhere near easy to take care of.
“Cleaning supplies are in here.”
The handler for Vixen’s Vale came in prepared, taking many common cleaning supplies and making them accessible for Imps on all four legs. Pharaoh raised his eyebrows at them and found two big bags worth of what is supposed to be in the empty space around them. Yellow Pansy looked down at the floor beneath their paws, not seeing a shinier floor than he

Curtis 216 Slowly walking down the street staying close to walls, Curtis strained his eyes and ears for any movement. "It's pretty quiet today . . . . I wonder where those ankle biters are . . ." muttering to himself, he continued walking. Not wanting to take the risk of exploring a dark building by himself, he looked for a more suitable target. Spying a run down mini van from across a battered rusted chain link fence, he smirked. Checking around him again he moved forward determined to find a way to get to it. After a while, finding a collapsed side of the fence. Slowly easing his way through the collapsed section struggling...

Astrid: They make it to Astrid's home; a small one story house with a big oak tree in the front yard. She opens her door and turns on the oil lamps to illuminate her living room. It smelled of vanilla and spices in her home."Welcome to my abode!" she says happily. "It's small ... but it serves its purpose. Follow me, I'll show you the kitchen." she said as she hung up her coat and made her way to a dark part of her house. Drazen: Drazen stepped in carefully, this time getting a basket before they left the orchard. The place was cosy, just the way he liked living. "You have a really nice home!" he commented, eyeing every little detail of ...
A tall man made of coiled gold and onyx drummed his way through the long hall to reach an old door that lay at the end. The walls were grunged and beaten, some areas pummeled viciously by sledgehammers it seemed, and the shabby and worn door at the end of its path seemed ready to fall off its hinges. The entire building had been deserted for decades, and it was the perfect setting for something screaming 'abnormal'. The cracked door at the end of the hall with its brassy handle was a mere façade. Only the first inch was real wood, the other three feet were solid steel, reinforced with thick pillars to be used as a locking system. Having be...

I'm Going Slightly Mad: Chapter Twelve
Job hunting sucked. There were a lot of things that Aaron hated. He hated low speed limits; he hated hangovers. He hated studying, boredom, ugly cars, people who were smarter than him, and beer. But, above all else, he hated job hunting. He could not stand it, and he’d only been doing it for a week.Applications were exhausting. So many questions, so few of them actually relevant. And he hadn’t gotten even one answer out of the six jobs he’d applied for. Not only was it discouraging, it was demeaning, and Aaron was done with it.Or, he would be done with it, if he wasn’t so afraid of letting down his parents. So he kept at it, kept browsing t...

Insomnia/Sleepless Dreaming
She didn't sleep much anymore. There were the pictures and the poems, stained with who-knows-what and scattered across the kitchen table. They were unneeded and took up space, but she couldn't quite bring herself to throw them out. Bad memories covered in cigarette burns and coffee rings, but they were all she ever saw. Or, at least, all she ever looked at. Which, in hindsight, wasn't really saying much. She had her eyes closed most of the time.It was quite clear to her that this was going nowhere. She would spend ages trying to decipher the deeper meaning in that one book (you know the one), only to find there was none. She guessed that it...

You Know Nothing, Joni Clearsnow
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
“Shush!” Joni yelped and tossed the heaviest volume at the clock, but missed. Having spent half of the evening in her room with the worst mood possible, she did not care about the mess. For most time she was attempting to read, but could not cope with more than a couple of pages and eventually threw the books everywhere. That was unfair. Totally unfair. At this moment Joni did feel like the character after which she was named… or at least most people believed she was.
Tick. Tock. Woosh.
“SILENCE, I SAID!” Joni yelled, grabbed something very heavy from the table and prepared to throw it, but was interrupted b...
Takes place before the party .Roy was standing on the porch the Hawke house, leisurely turning about a little yarn figure that Reagan had made not too long ago. She made lots of little things like it that made him smile. She was so young and full of creativity. It reminded him a lot of when he was just a bit younger, before he started college, before he had moved. He set it down and sighed. Rea had told him she'd be back at the house soon enough, but her school day was not quite done yet. Regardless, she had invited him over and told him that the Kaeto was home and that her brother would let him in. Already Roy was a bit hesitant to head o...
