It was supposed to be a simple procedure. He'd asked all the right questions, done all the research. Anthony had never had surgery before had never even been to the hospital for anything other than for a routine checkup but he wasn't too concerned. Rubbery but somehow pliant and soft, it had been packed very tightly into the box, folding out and unravelling until it reached the floor.
