Now it is time to talk about Balto released in 1995 and very loosely based off of true events.

The movie begins in a live action present day Central Park. A woman and her granddaughter were searching for a memorial, but in the process, the two decided to take a rest. While resting, the grandmother decided to tell her granddaughter the story of the memorial they were searching... a story set in Nome, Alaska in the year 1925.
We are then brought to an animated version of Nome, Alaska. There, dogsledding was the most popular sport. Dogsledding is an activity that almost all dogs thrive to participate, especially a stray dog named Balto. There is just one problem... Balto is not a pure dog. He is a wolfdog, the result of the mating of a domestic dog and a wolf. As such, he is shunned by the humans of Nome, who view him as a wild animal that will attack at any time.
