It all seemed like a routine mission. There was reports of some Fatui Skirmishers causing trouble near Mondstadt, and Jean took it upon herself to deal with them. Normally she would bring some backup from her subordinates, but they were already stretched too thin. Fortunately, she could rely on the aid on the genius Mona, who had nothing better to do besides starving in the street. The offer of even the slightest award was enough to get the sultry astromancer on board. "I think we should be fine with the both of us, but don't let your guard down." Jean warned her companion as they were getting closer to their destination.
"Hmph. You are far too wound up over such a simple task. I do not need to consult the stars to foresee such an obvious outcome. Normally I wouldn't waste my genius on such a trite matter...but my coin purse has been rather....light as of late." Mona pouted for a moment, before returning to her usual proud self, strutting

Everything was perfect.
Mallory let out a sigh of satisfaction as she flopped onto the couch and searched through her console for a game to play. It was a lazy Saturday morning, her parents were out, and she had nothing to do for the next eight hours but lie around, eat junk food, and play video games. To a girl like her, this was heaven.
She was particularly happy because as long as she sat around and did nothing, there was no way the Robomaid could mess with her. Her parents had bought the house-cleaning android a few months ago, and the robot always seemed to find a way to accidentally ruin her day. Whether it was dumping trash on what it thought was a ‘proper receptacle’ (actually Mallory’s head) or scattering it all over the place just when she’d finished cleaning up her own mess, the Robomaid had gotten her in trouble more times than she could count. But, she figured, maybe if she didn’t do anything at all, it couldn’t figure out a way to misidentify her actions as the trigger
