The event at the largest hotel in Washington, D.C. was a sellout and her keynote talk was standing room only. There were hospital and medical professionals, policymakers, think tank leaders, medical school faculty and healthcare trade media clamoring to get into talk: “The Consequences of Not Measuring What You Seek To Manage.” Alexa’s talk would be in a convention center auditorium, complete with state-of-the-art lighting and video livestreaming capabilities so her words of wisdom could be shared live and recorded for thousands to enjoy and digest. She arrived in a sedan from the airport and was whisked immediately into the room where she would present. The leaders of the annual conference and a few major sponsors met her and took her to the auditorium.
