He grabs his sweep-leaf and clears an inaugural pathway along his homemade runway.
And, with great gusto, Decoy runs the path, until he catches a breeze that escorts him into the sky. Up higher-and-higher he goes, feeling the wind across his wooden face.
His gears engage more-and-more, as he flaps his newly crafted wings. A painted smile forms across Decoy's face -- red ecstasy.
As his bearings find their bearings, he feels a great gust approaching: "You stupid bird!" he hears -- puzzling his pulse.
"Wood-brained troglodyte; I bet you'll crash." It takes a moment for Decoy to realize the air gusts are mocking him.
More words burst into the sky: "You do not belong up here!"
