Once upon a time, way out west, a singer struck gold and made it rich. Living the American dream, she bought herself the prettiest saloon to perform west of the Alamo. People came from miles around to hear her splendid voice and see her beautiful face. But, though she had everything her heart desired, she was cruel, selfish, and unkind.
One day, a terrible rain came down across the range. And a strange drifter came to her doorstep, asking to stay and wait out the storm. The singer didn’t much like his look and turned him away. The drifter told her that looks weren’t everything. That true beauty is found in one's heart rather than their face. But the singer had none of it. “Then I’ve seen all I need to see,” the drifter said, revealing himself to be Caduceus Clay, the strange and mystical wanderer of the wild.
