Renee and Mike sprawled out in the lab's break room, the oversized couch straining to accommodate her immense bulk. The TV droned in the background, playing some mindless sitcom that neither of them was really paying attention to. For the first time since her transformation, Renee felt like herself again. She laughed at Mike’s dry jokes, teased him about his favorite snack choices, and even shared some embarrassing stories from their college days.
