“Ugh,” I groaned as I slowly opened my eyes.
What happened? Last I recalled, I had been walking to the nearby convenience store to get a couple things and then… falling. I remembered falling! I must have hit my head or something. Was I still on the sidewalk? In the hospital? I wasn’t moving so clearly I wasn’t in an ambulance.
