With no visible expression (y/n) looked out the window as he listen to the hum of the vehicle's engine, watching the buildings go by in the nice, tourist friendly part of Vale. He visited this place occasionally during his days working for Calo but since he became a resident of the city he never really came out this way anymore. That was a strange habit of people who lived in a city, while these attractions were only a stone throw away none of the locals bothered to see these places unless an acquaintance was visiting. Of course they weren't here for any of the sights or attractions. After resting for a few hours (y/n) heard some news that he needed to follow up on, it wasn't anything truly important but it was an act of honor.
The black SUV slowed to a crawl and pulled over with another in front doing the same with it's twin behind them parking. (y/n) gave a tired sigh as he looked down to his helmet sitting on his lap, this was going to suck.
Spartus:"Are you ready? I know you asked for this but if you don't feel up to it we can always go back."
(y/n):"We're already here so might as well."
Spartus:"Atta boy, you'd make your grandfather proud with this."
Taking one last breath (y/n) grabbed his helmet and pulled it over his head, completing the armor he already sat in. With that done he opened the door and stepped out to see a crowd of people gathered, the most important people sat in rows of chairs in the center of the area while most stood on the edges of the cement square in the park. The doors of the other SUVs opened with their passengers climbing out, armored Reavers holding their guns ready for a fight, most of them were blue with only 2 in red, and the lone gold plated Reaver got out of the door in front of (y/n). Spartus climbed out behind (y/n) and stood by "Iron Horn's" side, a title (y/n) still needed to get used to.
Spartus:"Alright boys we know the drill, escort Iron Horn but be respectful we aren't here to pick a fight with Atlas. Let's go."
With those simple words the group got into formation, lining up leaving (y/n) in the center with Spartus on his right and the ever present Kelborne on his left. The group all took small steps forward, a mercy for (y/n) as his jelly legs carried the cement heavy boots of his armor forward to line up behind the people sitting in chairs where the camera crews set up. The sky was dreary, dark and cloudy as if nature itself reflected the mood of this event. At the head of the area stood a white marble plaque with four Atlisian soldiers on top, two laid on the ground dead, a wounded soldier reached up to the last soldier who extended an arm to his friend while aiming his rifle at an invisible enemy. They came to the opening of a memorial for the soldiers who died at Beacon but instead of placing it at the actual battlefield they decided to put it in Vale, probably as a reminder that they took the worst beating at Beacon. The timing was very convenient, established the same day Spartus was to meet with Ozpin, Ironwood, and the council to establish the terms of the Rangers helping in Vale, but even so (y/n) wanted to come here. These men didn't have aura, didn't have some fancy weapon, hell they didn't even have the fire support of the fleet over their heads but they still held their ground, an honorable sacrifice worthy of respect. He didn't care for Atlas but a man who only showed respect for those he loved was is a petty thing, nothing more than a coward unwilling to face his imperfections.
Ahead of the monument stood a company of Atlas soldiers, their armor battered and some even wore casts or stood with the aid of crutches but they stood proudly in the spirit of their fallen Brothers. A officer stood behind a podium giving a speech but (y/n) didn't bother listening to him, not out of indifference but it took a focused effort to keep himself standing in his armor, it had some heft to it but the weight had never really been a problem before. But he did notice that the general who dragged his army across the world was missing, then he felt a light tap on his shoulder. Slowly twisting the aching muscles of his body (y/n) turned around to see a tall man, black hair turning gray at the roots at the sides of his head, dark blue eyes, and a stern expression wearing a white uniform. The top general of Atlas and the headmaster of it's academy, General James Ironwood.
Ironwood:"What are you doing here?" He said just loudly enough for (y/n) and company to hear causing (y/n)'s escort to turn around.
(y/n):"Paying my respect to your men." He replied, forcing every decibel of pain that tried to escape out of his voice.
Ironwood:"In full armor?"
(y/n):"It was the only way they'd let me attend."
Ironwood:"And why is that?"
Spartus:"Because (y/n) here undid the white fangs plan for Beacon, he embarrassed them. They want to make an example of him, that no one will stand in their way and live. I'm not about to let that happen." He growled back.
Ironwood:"If you think you can use this as somekind of publicity stunt then-"
(y/n):"This isn't somekind of stunt, this is me paying legitimate respect to those who died at Beacon. When the service is over we will-"
(???):"Mr (l/n) Mr (l/n)!"
(y/n) had to close his eyes as a reporter took notice of him and began shouting as he ran up with a microphone in hand, this was his first public appearance since he bashed Cinder's skull in so naturally after being in the news someone wanted an interview where ever they could get it, it was truly a dumb move on his part thinking he could get in and out quietly when those rating junkie blood suckers were here. He looked to Ironwood who kept scowling at him waiting for the answer this situation presented, either he stayed and stole the attention from those who died or he left letting the focus go back to where it should of been. Ordinarily (y/n) would of loved a chance to embarrass Atlas, to show them they weren't as great as they think they are but he wasn't about to disgrace soldiers who died far away from their own homeland to do it. He kept his focus on Ironwood, he'd seen videos of the general a few times not to mention those awful advertisements of how advance their military is like they were rubbing it in the world kept them around while the Reavers were scattered to the winds, (y/n) wasn't impressed.
(y/n):"And so it's time for us to leave, excuse the trouble we caused."
Ironwood:"I'll escort you."
(y/n) had to hold his breath as he lifted one leg up to take a step, forcing his body to act as normal as it would under the conditions with his "escort" almost happily walking ahead of him, it was too late thought. The reporters and their camera men descended on (y/n) like a swarm of locusts, shoving their microphones into his face as the Reavers who served as his honor guard moved in effectively bulldozing the reporters back though to (y/n)'s disappointment none of them fell down. Instead they shouted their questions like idiots who felt entitled to something.
Reporter1:"Mr (l/n)! There are stories going around that you learned of the attack on Beacon before hand, can you comment on that?!"
Reporter2:"Who was Cinder Fall? How was she able to do the things she did?!"
Reporter3:"There are rumors that you've been hunting down white fang cells the past few days is there any truth to that?"
Reporter4:"How about the families of the people you killed? Do you have any thing to say to them?"
Reporter5:"Is it true you were at Kurse during its fall?!"
Reporter6:"What's your opinion on drug use and the effect it has on the lower class of Vale?!"
Reporter7:"Why did you choose to make your first public appearance after the battle to be the memorial service for Atlas soldiers? Do you think they died needlessly?!"
Just a few steps from the SUV (y/n) came to a complete stop and turned his gaze on the 7th Reporter, a scrawny man wearing glasses who probably never missed a meal in his life. He was planning to just leave, he had no desire to deal with news outlets looking for whatever hook they could use to reel in the viewers but that question struck at his sense of honor, an important part of himself that he almost lost.
(y/n):"I came here out of respect for the soldiers who died during the battle of Beacon, I'm no fan of Atlas but their actions deserve respect. But since you're going to play this tonight I have a message to their families, their friends and their brothers in arms. The loss of those dear to you is a wound that cuts deep, you have my sympathies. But I hope you can find some comfort in the fact they fought for something, what exactly I don't know but no one stays in a fight like that without holding onto something important. Stay strong."
Kelborne:"That's enough get back!"
With the same mentality of a dog protecting its owner Kelborne moved in using his shoulder to shove the reporter back clearing the way so the gold plated human Reaver could open the door for Spartus who climbed in first saving (y/n) the trouble of sliding into the next seat. (y/n) went to the door but turned his head back to Ironwood who stood firmly, chest puffed out and hands tucked behind his back.
(y/n):"Again apologies, would you like to ride with us to the meeting?"
Ironwood:"I have my own arrangements, just please leave."
Without another word (y/n) climbed back into his seat with Kelborne closing the door behind him giving (y/n) the freedom to drop his act, he gasped in relief as he exhausted body went limp in his seat.
Spartus:"You over did it." He said bluntly.
(y/n):"I had to, I didn't come all this way just to be weak."
Spartus didn't reply as the driver and Kelborne got back into their seats giving (y/n) a chance to look out the window to see the swarm of reporters backing up, giving him a glimpse of Coco wearing a modest black dress scowling which caused him to smile. He discovered while he fought Cinder Coco played a key role rallying the other students and led a counter charge against the white fang so she was expected to be here, however she was under the impression he was going to stay back at the hotel. She became protective of him in his weakened state, so much that even his mother didn't really say much during his check up; his mother did try to start a conversation but Coco quickly shot it down. There was no doubt about it, she's mad he came here.
The car hummed to life before the convoy pulled away from the sidewalk and moved down the street giving (y/n) a chance to pull his helmet off and examine his face, fresh scars at the top right corner of his right eye, a slice at the left side of his lower lip, and a small line across his cheek, wounds inflicted when he smashed Cinder's sword apart with his helmet. It seemed so strange to him, mentally it was just yesterday he felt like the world's biggest disappointment but now he rode around in his armor with an honor guard at his side. If life had one great test for everyone fighting Cinder must of been his and from the reaction the world gave him it seemed he passed it. So little time had passed since that battle but so many things had changed, Atlas was shown to be weak, the Rangers had a job any large merc group would be trampling over each other to gain, even he changed in this time. He remembered books saying that change came quickly but to actually experience it was something he couldn't describe.
Spartus:"So (y/n), before this meeting we need to clear a few details."
(y/n) stiffened up in his seat while turning his head back to Spartus, the rebuilder of the Reavers implied he wanted (y/n) to join the meeting earlier that day before they left for the memorial service. (y/n) himself wasn't so sure why Spartus wanted him there, he was good at fighting and knew how to barter thanks to time spent in the markets of Mantle but this was a whole different level from what he experienced. But after all those men bowed to him (y/n) wanted to do what he could for them, if that included this meeting he would do his best.
(y/n):"What do you need me to do?"
Spartus:"Be vocal in it, I plan on leaving you in command of the forces I have in Vale."
(y/n):"Of cour- come again?"
(y/n) could nearly feel the focus of Spartus' glare beneath his helmet, as if his presence alone could impart a sense of force.
Spartus:"I plan on putting you in charge of the forces here in Vale."
(y/n):"What about you?"
Spartus:"We're stretched thinner than I'd like (y/n), I have a dozen squads busy with contracts and a sizable chunk of my forces are tied up in securing Vale. I've heard rumors of Reaver clans in the deserts of Vacuo that held true to the traditions started by our grandfathers, that means trained battle hardened men ready for a fight which is something we need right now so I'll be heading there after this meeting."
(y/n):"Jagi won't like this."
Spartus:"Jagi has his own issues for now. Don't worry about it, I suggest you assign Kelborne as your second in command and he'll take care of the day to day stuff."
(y/n):"Then why not put him in charge?"
Spartus:"Because you earned the trust of Vale, people have been talking about you (y/n) and not just about Beacon or Kurse. They've been talking about you charging through an artillery barrage to defend your home town, killing that mutant deathstalker in the middle of nowhere, even details of our fight against the blue waves have been leaking out. If the people here see you leading my men... there will be very little you can do, that should buy us enough time for me to get the clans here to Vale and get them outfitted for combat."
(y/n) couldn't argue with that, Vacuo was known for being a harsh land and if these clans didn't scatter like the rest of the Reavers did that meant they were somewhere people didn't go, somewhere very dangerous. Such warriors would be a boon in future conflicts which given the circumstances explained why Spartus would go into that damn wasteland to find them, (y/n) was still learning about how Vale had changed since he bashed Cinder's skull open but evidently things weren't getting better. If Spartus thought he would help settle things then he would do his duty.
(y/n):"I'll keep everything together."
Spartus:"Like I said it shouldn't be too much, I have Osk overseeing the base so your focus is just Vale but I expect you two to support each other."
(y/n):"As you wish, anything else?"
Spartus:"Yes, we've been quietly importing... 'things' we found in Atlas while sending supplies to update what we're calling the arsenal."
(y/n):'Arsenal? Is that what he's calling the airship we found? He's gotta be playing coy for a reason so a codename would make sense.' He thought to himself.
(y/n):"Anything dangerous I should be aware of?"
Spartus:"Not particularly, we won't be moving them through Vale regularly. But if I send any clans your way I'll have one of the ships moving the items take them here, chances are they'll want to meet with you and we can say it's their belongings."
(y/n):"There's a few moving pieces here."
Spartus:"I know which I don't like, I prefer to have a hand in whatever we have going on but securing Vale threw everything into chaos."
(y/n):"Any regrets over it?"
Spartus:"No, the lien Vale is paying us is exactly what we need right now and it's put us back on the world stage. It's going to be tricky at times but if we do this right... we might be able to fully restore the Reavers in my life time, and I have you to thank for that."
(y/n) kept quiet as he thought about that, he now reached his goal of being a famous warrior despite not even having the license he coveted for most of his life. In doing that he started something, something that also brought the Reavers into the light. Things could easily go horribly wrong but it was already too late to stop it, after 70 years of being lost to history while being hunted by monsters and groups with a grudge against them the Reavers are back on the world stage. Vale was desperate after the raid Cinder launched on Beacon but how did this end? Would they become a current force in the world or would they be thrown away once again? History is repeating itself again, he walked in the footsteps of his grandfather.
(y/n):"What do you want me to do during the meeting?"
Spartus:"Speak up, you know Vale better than I do so I trust any suggestions you have. Just don't undermine me."
(y/n):"Understood."
The SUV slowed before turning to the curb where it stopped causing (y/n) to pull his helmet on, it was time. Opening the door (y/n) sharply inhaled and held his breath before climbing out, his muscles still felt like jelly and the weight of his armor did nothing but aggravate the still healing wounds to his body. The honor guard quickly got out, reassuming their formation around (y/n) and Spartus. The building ahead of them wasn't an official government building but a simple tower, Lucian's hotel that he let the Rangers occupy.
(y/n):"The hotel?"
Spartus:"Ozpin wanted the meeting here." He said simply.
Spartus began walking forward with (y/n) forcing himself to follow as the honor guard kept close but spread out enough that he could look around the street, armed Reavers stood at their posts like when he left but he noticed the new addition of Atlas soldiers. To an outside eye it might send a message of unity, two armed forces working together, but to (y/n) he could see it was Atlas starting the pissing contest. Atlas had a black eye from Beacon so now they needed to make up for it with a show of strength which having the Rangers present undermined, it was a dick move on Atlas' part but given their aggrieved status it was up to them to start this. If only they knew what a mistake it was to do this, Atlas had been top dog for a long time and wanted to keep it that way but the times were changing, hopefully for the better.
Entering the lavish lobby of the hotel the group went towards the end where the elevators sat but instead of entering one Spartus took a sharp right leading down a long hallway with many branches that they ignored. Instead they went to the room at the very end where four Reavers stood next to the frame, two on each side with two Atlas soldiers on the outside of them. The room they entered wasn't very large, it was small but the craftsmanship of it told (y/n) this must of been a room Lucian spent sometime in, a a dark red carpet, red walls adorned with a golden vine like pattern, along with a small round table at the center of the room where Ozpin casually sat sipping from his mug. The moment the old man locked eyes on (y/n) he pulled the mug from his mouth and quietly laid it on the table while a small smile crossed his face.
Ozpin:"Mr (l/n), it's good to see you again, and walking no less."
(y/n):"Like I told you when I finished the entrepreneur mission, send a professional get professional results."
Ozpin:"Are you going to punch me again?"
(y/n) gave a light chuckle that would of been louder if it wasn't for the ache it caused in his chest.
(y/n):"We'll see with how this meeting goes."
Feeling his body grow weaker with every passing second (y/n) made his way to the table and pulled a leather chair out to sit down in while the honor guard dispersed, closing the door behind them as they left with only Kelborne staying behind. Spartus took the seat next to (y/n) sitting opposite of Ozpin.
Spartus:"Is Ironwood going to be long?"
Ozpin:"He's on his way and will be joining us shortly."
Spartus:"And where's the council?"
Ozpin:"They agreed to let me represent Vale in this meeting seeing how they're... indisposed."
(y/n):"Indisposed? ...They left the city when the shit hit the fan, didn't they?"
Ozpin:"They did in fact leave before the fighting was over at Beacon."
(y/n) shook his head in disgust, this is the problem of listening to people and not paying attention to their actions. In his opinion a leader should be on the front line of any crisis and he couldn't recall a single time any politician ever went to the front unless it was good publicity. Now the news who talked smack about others who did the exact same thing as the council will prop them up saying everything they could to make it seem like the best move even though those same transports could of been used to evacuate injured students and soldiers from Beacon, that was typical.
Spartus however pulled a tape recorder from a pouch on his armor and laid it out on the table for all to see.
Ozpin:"So you'll be recording this."
Spartus:"After what happened the last time we helped Vale? How we were promised land's on the east coast but were instead sent to Menagerie then scattered to the winds? Yeah, I want some insurance that any deal with Vale is going to be honored."
Ozpin:"Fair enough I suppose, but this shouldn't run the risk of starting a war."
Spartus:"Should anything?"
Ozpin:"No, but it does at times."
(y/n) kept silent realizing those short lines would set the tone of this joint effort, Spartus didn't want to be back stabbed like they were in the past and Ozpin's main concern seemed to be avoiding a war. Between Atlas and the Rangers things would become tense, while the idea of a war against Atlas wasn't distasteful to (y/n) between the funding Vale would give them and the "Arsenal" the Reavers are primed for a rapid growth from a band of mercenaries into something... more. A full blown war right now would stun their growth, perhaps robbing them of a chance to truly forge a future of their own making. An idea began to form in (y/n)'s mind, it wasn't impossible to achieve both parties goals and if they did that... he remembered what Calo said, about selling his mind, his body, and at least part of his soul, how when peace broke out the Reavers were thrown away. Even huntsmen, the heros of this modern age, ended up being considered disposable by the world. That needed to be fixed.
As if waiting for the tensions to set the door swung open with Ironwood walking in, hands tucked behind his back as he went to the chair left open for him.
Ironwood:"Sorry for the wait but the memorial service ran longer than expected."
Ozpin:"That's alright these things happen, but would you show them our proposal James?"
Ironwood nodded as he pulled a small lens that he set on the table that sparked to life creating lines of light that focused into a map of the city split down the middle, the western half of the city was covered in a light blue and the east in yellow.
Ironwood:"Our proposal is simple, no one wants to start a fight between our forces so we do clear avoidance. You take the east and my forces will handle the west, we both have access to the docks and our own air docks."
Spartus:"Interesting, (y/n)?"
(y/n) took a moment to study the map, Atlas had the more prosperous sections of the city under their protection while the Reavers would look after more common sections, industrial areas, the slums, the local spaces but Atlas had those too on the west so there wasn't any tricks there. Then his eye drew to the center of the city, where any friction between their forces would happen.
(y/n):"So no one crosses the center? That's the plan?"
Ironwood:"Yes, keep any chance of conflict to a minimum."
(y/n):"I get the thought process but if we're here to protect the citizens of Vale I want to protect them, I say we let our forces cross the street if someone is in trouble."
Ironwood:"That runs the risk of creating problems."
(y/n):"And I don't want to have someone get robbed because the only people nearby are from the wrong side of the street."
Ironwood:"That-"
Ozpin:"That seems more than fair, but how do you plan to deal with any tension that arises?"
(y/n):"Let them fight."
Ironwood:"What? That's completely unprofessional, you plan to stop our forces from fighting by letting them fight?"
(y/n):"Not a back street brawl but a duel, like boxing or something where they can get the anger out without killing each other."
Ozpin:"Interesting idea, we could also use it for fundraising."
Ironwood scowled at (y/n) which caused Spartus to chuckle, certainly his proposals sounded unorthodox but if they seriously thought on it the ideas did support their goals in the long run.
Ironwood:"I see you have been thinking on this." He bluntly stated making no effort to hide his displeasure.
(y/n):"Not really, I just read a lot of history books and got a good look at how things went wrong. I'm hoping my suggestions might prevent those same mishappenings."
Spartus:"But enough of that, how do we handle hunting the white fang? I can form my own hunter teams or do you prefer a joint task force?"
Ironwood and Ozpin exchanged glances causing (y/n) to look to Spartus who the bull faunus could tell shared his thoughts, they weren't going to like this.
Ozpin:"...You mistake our intent, our focus is protecting the city not going to war with the white fang."
(y/n):"You have to be joking."
Ironwood:"We are not."
This was a philosophical blow to the Reavers, warfare favored the aggressive force which the Reavers used to win many battles of the great war. Focus on defense was a tactic that lost wars, important yes but no one truly won a war on the defensive, at most it just bought a reprieve so the attackers could reorganize.
Spartus:"The white fang will take advantage of that."
Ironwood:"The white fang failed in their attack, they know they can't win."
Spartus:"You barely managed to push back a desperate raid on a school. They lost the fight so they'll be eager to prove their strength, to show they won't back down."
Ozpin:"Which is why we have you and your men helping us."
(y/n) rolled his eyes, complacency, the same thing that turned Mantle into a shit hole now showing its face in Vale. This was a huge mistake in (y/n)'s opinion but Spartus didn't say anything either, they weren't here to advise or win this fight they were hired to provide security to Vale. For now they'd just have to play their roles.
Spartus:"And the payment offered when I accepted this job?"
Ozpin:"Will be honored, 15 million lien per month with an additional 50 million at the end of the contract. Not exactly cheap."
Spartus:"But it will be worth the price that I promise you. But I have to withdraw for a time, (y/n) will take command of my forces here in Vale."
Ironwood:"A student?"
Spartus:"A student who managed to find Cinder Fall who hid right beneath your nose and kill her. H has the skill and the men are proud of him, he will not fail you. That being said should Beacon resume classes while we're still here..."
Ozpin:"He will be given leave to act as he see's fit, within reason of course."
That cheered (y/n) up a bit, no more detention with Port. But still he'd make sure to behave better than he did before, he owed the old man for giving him some protection from his one big fuck up.
Spartus:"That seems to be that then, anything else that needs to be discussed?"
Ozpin:"I don't believe so."
Spartus:"I'll go inform my men then, (y/n) go back to the pent house for now." He said as he grabbed the tape recorder.
Ironwood:"I'll do the same."
Ozpin:"Do what you must, I'll be finishing this pot of coffee. Say what you will about Lucian but the man knows his coffee."
With that Spartus and Ironwood got up from their seats and left. (y/n) knew Spartus was probably going to leave for Vacuo after giving the updated terms but saying goodbye would reveal that he was going to be away for awhile, something Atlas didn't need to know. Yet (y/n) didn't get up, he needed a word with Ozpin who happily refilled his mug.
Ozpin:"Yes Mr (l/n)? Is there more?"
(y/n):"Just... thank you, for sending Port to the news. But I have to ask... why?"
Ozpin didn't respond right away but instead put his fixings into his coffee, cream and sugar. With those in he grabbed his spoon and began mixing them into the coffee, a small smile on his face.
Ozpin:"If I may be informal (y/n) I owed you the favor. I won't explain everything but I've learned life is a series of compromises, even with myself. Recently I found myself making a compromise that disgusted me but I have a responsibility to the world that I must uphold. But then you discovered Cinder and not only that but you defeated her, you made the compromise I hated so much irrelevant. It's very rare for that to happen, that I can finally have things go to the preferable outcome but you gave me that. For that I am eternally grateful for your help, thats why I let Port share the letter."
(y/n):"Thank you, but I have to ask... Amber, Lucian's niece, is she...?"
Ozpin:"She's currently aboard the entrepreneur meeting him, now that she's healthy again I worked out a deal with him that'll keep her safe and with family. Also Lucian said he'll be by this night to thank you."
(y/n):"Great, I hope he got over me robbing him then."
Ozpin:"I'm sure he has, I suggest you go back to the penthouse and rest up I can tell you aren't back to full strength yet. And from the bottom of my heart thank you, for saving my school and more than you know."
(y/n):"Thank you Ozpin, for giving me a chance."
Ozpin didn't say anything back giving (y/n) a chance to get back up and begin walking to the open door where two red armored Reaver stood to escort him back to the lobby. He went to the closest elevator door and was surprised to find it already open with one passenger inside of it, Velvet.
Velvet:"Oh hey (y/n) it's good to see you up." She said in a somewhat meek tone.
(y/n):"Velvet? What are you doing here?"
Velvet:"Oh I've been staying at the pent house, Coco needed a friend and..."
Velvet trailed off as she looked at something behind (y/n) causing him to turn his head to see Coco running into the lobby, right at him.
Coco:"I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO REST UP!"
(y/n):"Oh fuck."
(y/n) jumped into the elevator and hit the penthouse button as hard as he could while Coco came shooting at him like a missile. His escorts quickly got in the way blocking the door.
Reaver:"Ma'am you need to-"
Coco dove right over them pouncing onto (y/n) knocking him off his feet and slamming him into the back wall, Coco's face scrunched up as if she was about to shout his very soul from his body.
(y/n):"Coco listen I-"
Coco:"BED, NOW (Y/N)!" She screamed back.

Chapter 7
G is for Good Graces
Miss Parr Wednesday 12 PM Sarah Parr woke with a loud groan and a pounding headache. If she had dreamed anything, she did not remember it. After convincing herself that she had slept enough, she opened her eyes. She was in an unfamiliar setting. Her eyes scanned the room. Sarah found herself in a hospital bed in the center of a room with a drop ceiling, fluorescent lighting, clinical smell, and drab interior. Wondering what she was doing in a hospital, Sarah raised her left hand. Her eyes saw no ring, no bracelet, no scars. There were the tattoos, the many, many tattoos. "I'm still Sarah Parr?" she asked alou...

Super Mario Super Tales Episode 52
Opening sequence Pearly Whites The Mario Bros were out at the pier in Mushroom Town and just enjoying a nice relaxing day of fishing.
"Aw...this is what I call relaxing. A little fishing out here on the docks with nothing but my brother by my side," said Mario.
"We haven't really gotten any bites, though," said Luigi.
It was true. They weren't catching a lot of fish. All they had was one Cheep Cheep. But that was just not enough.
"Fishing isn't just about catching fish, Luigi. It's a time to just sit back and reflect on things in life. Take it easy. Let nothing get in your way," said Mario.
Just then, he felt a tug on his line.

ELLE DUNCAN'S ESPN SC LIVE SOLO 6 THE CUT
Elle Duncan's Sportscenter Live SOLO 6 DIRECTOR'S CUT
"Good evening, sports fans, and welcome to another thrilling edition of Sportscenter Live," Elle Duncan's smooth voice echoed through the studio as she flashed her trademark smile to the camera. She sat comfortably at the sleek, curved desk, her fingers tapping rhythmically on the digital surface. The studio lights gleamed off her light blue dress, which clung to her body like a second skin, revealing her athletic physique. Her gold heels, a stark contrast to the cool blue, clicked against the floor as she stepped away from the desk to showcase the latest highlight reels.
The tension in the air grew palpable, not from the electrifying sports news but from an unspoken understanding between the audience and the star. No one knew the rules had changed, that this would be no ordinary show. The whispers grew louder, a clandestine excitement rippling through the viewers as they sensed something was amiss. The cameraman's eyes widened

Hearshot Kid Disaster: Chapter OneAnother day, another Yen, another workout for the woman quickly becoming the next big cult favorite wrestler. Josephine was already heavily into her daily workout, laying back on the bench in the rather large gym situated within walking distance from the WCF arena, clothed in a sports bra and pair of tights that pretty much mimicked her wrestling attire. She knew the fans were going to be out in full force today, why not have a little fun with them? So there she was, blond hair cascading behind her, as she bench-pressed more weight than she was sure anyone watching her could. After that final rep almost se...
