AMC TV reality series "Immortalized", was created and aired during 2011 and 2013 in the United States. It was a competitive taxidermy show of 8 episodes, made of the creative battles by the 12 internationally famed taxidermy artists. It was like the "Iron Chef" and "America's Top Model" style reality show.
During the production time, I worked as one of the production artists/designer of this unique TV series in New York City. I also had such a huge opportunity of working for Dr. Takeshi Yamada, who was one of four "Immortalizer" and the main cast of the TV show. There were 4 Immortalizers and 8 challengers. At the end, Dr. Takeshi Yamada won the Grand Champion (Best of the Show) of the season one. During the time, I also worked as a record keeper for archiving all the photographs and videos associated with this reality TV show.
Interestingly, for promoting this truly unique TV series, AMC also produced a upscale art exhibition and live performance art event in February 2012 in Manhattan, NY. On the occasion, I also assisted the production crews for preparing the art exhibition, performance event, and fashion show there. At the opening reception of this art event, I worked for Dr. Takeshi Yamada as a documentary photographer and record keeper.
I also placed my personal comments and insider's information for each photos posted here. I hope these are helpful for young artists, who seek artists' assistantship.
