Crystal Clear - Village Concept Art by SeanNash Crystal Clear - Village Concept Art by SeanNash
I'm collaborating with a friend on a game for one of my finale major Projects, I've taken on the role as one of the concept artist for it, and I'm basically just trying to explore a completely different style to my own, which is very challenging, Yet its been fun trying to push myself to work in a different way.

Photoshop CS6 and Corel Painter 12.

Okay, this is beautiful.
I can even imagine how the villagers live around that tree.
I'll definitely have to check that game you're working on. ;)

Yeah were still working on this piece, as we need it to feel abandoned as nobody lives here anymore as the island is deserted after a terrible disaster and only the young girl survived and is now 18 in the game. So I've changed a lot to it already. Still colorful but as though nature as taken over the village. :aww:

Hmm. Indeed, this village doesn't look abandoned - it looks quite alive.
I'm looking forward to see more of this!

Yeah I use both Photoshop and Corel Painted, I have Corel Painter 12 now  but used to use essentials 3 for a long time,  which was very basic but was really a good starting program for me.

Corel is a really good painting program as it has the feel of traditional art, with water colours, chalk, and acrylic  brushes ready for you, where as Photoshop just really allows you to customize your brushes more and get more textures within you work, but I definitely recommend Corel Painter. Its one of my favorite programs I use :aww: Also check out Corel Paint Shop Pro, Which lets you edit your work a bit further.

Not a problem :aww: I usually work on 3000 x 4000  Pixels or higher. But the higher you go the more memory it takes and tends to go slower but maybe thats just for me and my crappy computer :giggle:
