I totally feel for that like I wish they would update the way individuals can manage their notifications and whatnot. Maybe to them, it's organized enough and I can see why: their labeling is all specifically named and the sub-folders are put on the sidebar, but I feel like they should re-do the design of the site and reduce certain features to something a little broader or just simplified. If anything needs to become more complex, that option should be left for the user/individual to decide on instead of dA having to make that decision for us if that makes any sense at all.

Also, I think I mistook ArtStation with another site called ArtRift. It seems hard for people to gain traction there nor be noticed at all because a lot of very underdeveloped artist flock over and just overwhelm the best ones (kinda reminds me of dA now that I think about it.. but dA has gained enough users and popularity that it doesn't even matter anymore). Their symbol is almost the same because they use the letter A as the main focus of their icon and literally both use a variation of blue. ArtStation seems to be more of a professional artist website, followers of artists and employers which is honestly smart because that's simplifying the process a lot more for artists in general. Idk too much about it honestly like, is it all mainly digital art??? I don't see a lot of traditional.

ArtStation is good to follow and see what is trending in art and upload once in a while.
I think DA is kinda stuck in the past but it's become so much a part of me that I can't leave. Another issue is that because I've been here over 10 years, my notification inbox of watches is unmanageable and I don't have a reasonable way of sorting through who I don't want to watch anymore.
I wish the people running this site would take the things we said into consideration.

Lol, I'm just gonna jump in cuz I'm just browsing through whatever right now:

I honestly wish dA would actually add like an easier way to do a like system on pictures because I feel like when I favorite something, it feels way more official like I'm favoriting this artwork for the sake of keeping it to myself and using it for reference, etc. Liking something is like saying, "Oh cool, I like this piece. Here's a thumbs up just to let u know real quick because I don't really have much to say but silent appreciation." but not necessarily like "OH I LUV THIS SO MUCH IT'S MY FAVORITE! I'M GONNA PUT IT IN A FOLDER OF FAVORITES."

About ArtStation, I made an account like 4-ish years ago and I barely used it because I didn't feel the community presence as much as I did here on dA. Maybe I'm wrong but I guess it's different for everyone.

hey loni. im hanging in there. i did share a few things on artstation recently. i like the threedee moels on there. i did want to get into that at one point. im just here. the art is slow right now. many distractions are around. but i like the old deviantart. the new one is looking a bit too much like a wanna be site instead of being unique. the fact that they display followers and following is not great. but hey thanks for hecking in. see you around. i hope life is treating you well also. hustle hard, get paid on the boulevard :):) have a good week
