do you use a skeleton base or something, or is it purely made of cds?

I create a wire mesh frame that I attach the CD shards to. =)

stupid question, but i must ask this. how do u cut the cds? o.O i tried doing some cd artwork and completely failed >.<

Not stupid at all, I just use kitchen scissors! =)
