Mortipede
Death Worm Pokemon

HT: 5'11
WT: 126 lbs

It propels itself through sand dunes using its tail flame as a thruster, approaching speeds of 70 mph when underground. Generating an electrical field from its spikes, it is able to detect prey from over a mile away. Once it finds it, it spits an acid that can eat through metal, finishing off its victim with a quick chop from its pincers, which are strong enough to snap a steel beam.

Fire/Bug Type.

~~~~~~~
Alright, almost done here; second-to-last entry for :iconslickedbackartisan:'s fakemon challenge. For this one, it's a fire/water/grass type with a serpentine body.
This friendly little guy is based on the mythical (or is it?) Mongolian Death Worm, said to live in the Gobi Desert, and said to not only spit acid, but also able to shock you from afar. I think I'll take my chances with those Tremors worms...
The name is a combination of "MORTe", as in "death", and obviously "centIPEDE".
Micron pens.
Crayola color pencils, some Prismacolor marker.
Touch-ups in GIMP.
I did think it looked somewhat Zelda-boss-esque, but that just makes me love it more. The single angry eyeball is just too cool.
Looks like something out of Wind Waker. Is that perhaps where you got the idea for this Pokemon? Either way, nicely done. :)
Not really, though I guess I can see how it looks like it'd fit in there. Wind Waker -is- my fav Zelda title, so maybe my sub-conscious was trying to say something...
Lol, it's one of my favorites as well. I was just stating that it looks similar to ta Magtail in Wind Waker. zeldawiki.org/images/7/76/Magt… Not that that's a bad thing, of course. :D I'd love to see something like this in actual Pokemon games, too. Sometimes I feel fans make better Pokemon than the actual company nowadays. xD (In some cases)
Huh, guess they do look similar. :P
Well, it's not like Pokemon -doesn't- have creatures that resemble Zelda monsters....Pikachu and Keatons (at least in the face), and Wobbuffet does bear a certain resemblance to those blob things.
