Cold. Cold rock. That was the first thing she felt. Her gold eye flickered open, seeing the first thing in her new life... Two huge crystals, blue and pink. Huh. Where was she? Who was she? What happened? She sat up, studying her surroundings. A forest?

A scream punctured the silence as a boy, about her age, tumbled into the clearing. She scrambled up and hid behind a tree before he could see her, being careful to avoid the beams, but only then did she realise there was a stabbing pain in her left foot. She looked down to see she was wearing a torn, bloody shirt that was so filthy she couldn't tell what colour it was originally, jeans that were practically made of patches and no shoes.
She winced when she saw the deep cut just above her ankle. It looked maybe a day or two old, and from how precise it was, she guessed that it was a knife wound. maybe a scalpel? She tried to stand up, but pain laced
