Lantea Explained

Lantea: Real name is New Lantea. Lantea is an planet mostly covered in ocean called Mongered. 75% of it in fact. At the geometric center of the ocean lies 11 stardrive capable city-ship, cities like none other, able to raise their shields and take off out of the atmosphere. Due to unfortunate gene splicing 'accident' the waters on lantea have become highly presureized and inhabited by enormous, incredibly fast creatures, which bieng enormous can eat both mark 1 and 2 puddle jumpers. The only way to access the sea floor is through access from a specific city-ship. Being geometrically centered between 4 black holes and 4 suns, it allows each city-ship its own unique gate address. Also another freak 'accident'.

Ida: Yellow ring, Only access to the Andromeda galaxy as it contains the alpha gate, the single gate powered with two mach 1,2,and 3 ZPMs, Which is the only gate with a wormhole stable enough to withstand the Furon nebula which you have to cross to enter and exit the Andromeda galaxy. The Ida city-ship can activate its alpha gate and bring city-ships through subspace into the Andromeda galaxy.

Plato: Blue ring, Lantea's mainframe, the only computerized city-ship. It contains all known gate address for all 3 known galaxies, and controls all electronics in Lantea.

Omnicra: Green ring, Lantea's largest ship bay, containing mark 1, 2 and 3 Puddle Jumpers, Exo-Wraith Darts, F-302s, Death Gliders and in orbit around Omnicra lies, Aurora, Ha'tak, Deadulas and Prometheus class battleships.

Nova: Red Ring, Home to the species native to Lantea, Andromeda and all those who came with Atlantis.

Olympia: Black ring, Lantea's single power station. Able to give out 400% of a mach 1 ZPM, and 1200% of 1 naquadah generator.

Pompeii: Cyan ring, Rumored to be Andromeda's version Of Atlantis, is Lantea's only access to the ocean floor. Being that the depth of the water is so deep and the creatures that inhabit those waters, a Puddle Jumper will either get eaten alive or get pummeled and destroyed by the pressure of the oceans depth.

Utopia: Grey ring, As it's name suggest this is the city-ship of dreams. Here is where all the technology happens, the creation of new ships, weapons and AI life-forms but don't let those surrounding towers fool you, those towers and the top 5 floors of the main tower are a giant super-weapon called 'Mo Ha'lak Cree', a weapon capable to blow up a planet in one hit.

Hyperia: White ring, This city-ship was once a seeding ship, a ship built to seed stargates throughout the universe. Unfortunately the stardrive malfunctioned and was unable to escape the atmosphere, since then it has been stuck here with a thousand Andromeda stargates.

Dominica: Pink ring, Home to the Exo-Wraith - a cross-species of Tau'ri, Wraith and Athosian. Thankfully being two part Human the Wraith killer instinct is quieted down - and the Jaffa.

Alteran: Orange ring: Home of the Asurans, these life-forms are AI. They are Replicators but with the killing code written out of the program. They are now peaceful beings who live alongside the others.

Atlantis: Brown ring, after the great wraith faction war the atlantis expedition started failing regularly at off-world mission, after a while Dr.Elizabeth Weir returned, they collected as many allies as possible including Todd's new faction of Exo-Wraith and they left M35-117 they traveled through hyperspace to a new uninhabited world. But during a freak power failure the city-ship jumped from hyperspace to subspace where the stargate activated. The address that was dialing them was from the Ida city-ship and brought them through subspace, through the alpha gate and into the ocean Mongered, of new Lantea.
