Quick summary:
Esras is a fantasy world created by me and my friend, Caspar. There are four kingdoms: Kingdom Mist, Gaia, Kingdom Frost and Skuld. The main character of the comic is a grumpy veteran half-elf who specialized for murder. He tried to left behind the dark past and now he lives in Castel's fortress as an army leader. Behind his rigorous outside you can find kindness but he shows his emotions very hardly. His life never has been easy, he usually doesn't have time - only five seconds between two giant monsters.

'I purchased Manga Studio EX 4 for the express purpose of using digital screentones to add depth and shading for my mini-comics.  While the interface is simple enough, I must confess to being overwhelmed by the sheer number of tones available in the software.  Can anyone point me towards some tutorials/resources that address how to pick tones that look sharp/print well? '

Firstly, sorry this group has been so quiet for so long, been really busy, but now it's time for a competition!

I know it's near the end of summer but this competition is still going to have a summer theme, anyway, on with the rules:

Theme:
The theme is Ice Cream

Rules:
The image must contain screentone if it has no screentone or no obvious use of screentone it will be declined, this is after all a screentone based group.
It can be any style! Not just limited to manga, it can be traditional or digital, which ever you prefer! Obviously no literature, as it doesn't contain screentone . . . .
It MUST be submitted to the contest folder called 'Ice Cream Contest'
Only one entry per person
The image must be made for the contest and must, obviously, follow the theme

Deadline:
October 1st, unless there are only a few entries, in which case it might be extended
