Someday you will die somehow and
Somethings going to steal your carbon...
Four years ago I took a renewed interest in photography, one of the most enjoyable hobbies of my teenage years. And not just capturing a technically perfect photograph, but the soul of the moment.
I cut my teeth on a 35mm Pentax K1000, and learned the basic three on that - aperture, exposure, and filmspeed. I'm not a true purist (I shoot digital now - Cannon T2i) but the old manual cameras left their mark on me, and I am constantly going throught the menus and finding what I can tweak to improve the most difficult shots. And I still own a replacement K1000, and an old 1960's Mamiya Sekor 1000DTL my father gave me.
I enjoy a wide variety of photography styles and subjects - concerts, sporting events, street, night, black and white, nature, portrait...and I will add more to the list. With new software purchased this year, I aim to learn HDR as well.
Hopefully within the year I will begin professional freelance work. But I have *much* to learn! So please, feel free to leave comments and critiques. No need to be nice, as long as it's constructive. I am a harsh critic of my own work, but it is necessary in order to grow and produce the absolute best photos that capture the soul of every shot and can truly be called ART!
The best to all of us in this endeavor!
