The Coat!!!

Journal Entry: Wed Sep 2, 2009, 12:40 PM
A lot of people who watch me on deviantart know about Scoots' coat (scootwhookos.deviantart.com/ar…)(scootwhookos.deviantart.com/ar…)(scootwhookos.deviantart.com/ar…)(scootwhookos.deviantart.com/ar…)(scootwhookos.deviantart.com/ar…)(scootwhookos.deviantart.com/ar…). Yeah. THAT coat. XD Well I have an Organization XIII coat thats close in shape. But I really want the coat that I've always been drawing myself and other characters in. The organization XIII coat is nice and all. But it doesn't have everything that my coat has such as the huge sleeves, clothing over the neck and shoulders, it's not even long enough on me anymore. Anyway, here's where I'm going with this because I have no idea where to look. XD Do places exist where you want something made like an outfit, and I mean custom made outfit, and you'd give them your idea and they would make it for you. You know. They'd measure you and make it so it's your size and stuff. Do places like that exist? If they do and you know about it, please tell me! XD

!!!100 Themes Challenge!!!

Kuzai:iconkuzai: told me about this interesting challenge where you draw 100 pictures going by their descriptions below. The point is to feature an OC (Original Character) of your own in these 100 pictures. I have chosen T?????a for this and feel that this will give a very promising display of just what's to come from my mind in the future. I'll be following the list below in order so it kinda gives you a hint on what's to come. ^^ Anyway, enjoy! :D

P.S. I'm still doing animation so no need to have a heart attack. XD

===NOTE===
If you see a characters appearance change in some of these pictures or they look different from past pictures, this is because a lot of these characters are still being tinkered with. So they haven't been completely developed yet.

Well if you can't find a local taylor... maybe you could look up some guides on the net or something and make it yourself, who knows it could be cheaper than getting a proffessional to do it.

custom made will be your easiest way.
you piece together a black long coat along with a black turtle neck and piece together a few other things that would suit your needs. it wont cost that much either.
do it custom made. it is so much easier. time consuming, but easier. trust me.
and read up on the subject. I would suggest to see if there are any other people who have done things similar. and learn from that. look up tutorials etc. good luck. on what ever way you pick!

I'm going to have it made for me. It's a smarter way to go if you want it looking the way you want it.

Yeah I guess. just a suggestion :)
and by the way do you like Silent Hill? because I noticed you had Pyramid head in your Halloween animation last year.
not to be nosy.
though if you don't like the games you have to admit the music is amazing!

[link] this is twinfools and she is a cosplay and she makes all of them... you should ask her if she'll make you your jacket. but theres a catch... SHE LIVES IN VANCOVER,CANADA! so it's an idea but yea not much of a good one. but she is awesome at cosplay and she makes all of her costumes and all of her friends cosplay. she's also a member of FDP(fighting dreamers productions) you'll love her cosplay.

umm scoot i'm not entierly sure that this guy would do what you want so far all i've seen him make is leather like armor and stuff like that but you might want to at least give it a try [link] if he can't or won't do it i think he might know who can. keep up the good work with Zelda UO though in episode 8 if i were link i would have used nayrus love instead. that way i wouldn't get hurt. but you still made the only spell i didn't use in Ocorina of time look absolutely freaking awsome!!!!!!!! well hope that this helps you out and have a great day scoot.

They're called Tailors, and they're very expensive. But if you do this, can I have your old one? (I've lost a lot of weight since the last time I tried it on) ;)

I always thought it'd be easier to get it made by someone or make it yourself. Maybe if you can order the Organization XIII coat and then modify it?

You can go to almost any kind of Tailor, made if you lived near someplace that sold alot of local schools' gear someplace like that would be able to get it for you or help you to find someone to make one for you. Just count on it being a bit expensive.

Oh there are places. you just need to look for a local seamstress. I think everyone might be different, but when I commissioned my Midna cloak, I had to get all the supply(the fabric I wanted and the thread) and give detailed plans and description of what i wanted.

If the amount of comments haven't drained you already, there are costume stores that make specific clothing generally for Plays or re-enactments. Some are better than others so I dun' know about quality.

Yeah... there's my two cents... I got my coat [link] from my sister, who got it from a thrift store in Canada.

Funny thing is, I've been able to find clothes that match my character's design. However, they are just ordinary clothes. ^^;

Maybe ask a local tailor if they'll help.

well go to a dressmaker, you explain to him or her the costume you want (but it's you who bought the fabric and other stuff that you want to go on it) if you give him or her a draw with the specific stuff of your coat, it'll be a piece of cake (don't forget the measures ^^)

Look for any local areas near you that are tailors, you could try asking any clerk at a near by fabric store if they knew of anyone who made custom made clothing or costumes, get the number and ask. Good luck!

I don't know about actual places... but I have a friend oh makes cosplay costumes. She might be able to help you out.

But she lives here in California (LA). I don't know where you live... you'd have to give her your own measurements.

You could try looking at Hot Topic or somthing for a similar coat and editing it?
