Another one of my traditional chinese dragons, this time it is the White Dragon spirit, Bailong.

Bailong is the virtuous White Dragon Spirit, and is also considered as the purest of the Dragon Kings in Chinese Mythology.

'Life' is written in Chinese calligraphy

Again, done in the traditional tattoo look, and is part 2 of my series of chinese dragon drawings. Also in A4, finished with the Uni Ball eye pen, Sharpie and Letraset Promarkers.

Hope you like it, critique is more than welcome

I can resize this one to it's original size for you to download. You can have the dragon as a tattoo. I presume that it holds a kind of deep meaning for you.

Please give credit when it's being inked onto your skin. My signature will suffice

Trying to find out if the White Dragon is a Lunar Dragon and what the mythology is concerning one.

Also, do they alternate the Dragon years between the Colored Dragons?

Thanks for your help and it is a great drawing.

funny you should ask, because I've been getting the same question from my friends.

But I guess my answer is: 12 years of experience and a lot of practice

Thats an awesome dragon. I especially love the calligraphy. How do you do that without it actually being calligraphy??

When I draw out the calligraphy, it's just the same as drawing out the picture. Here's how I do it...

1. Lightly draw out the symbol, piece by piece, until you have the general shape of the symbol
2. When you're happy with the shape, go over it with a fine tip techpen. 0.1mm works best
3.

3. (cont'd. Sorry about that)

when you've done the outline, erase all the pencil marks until you are left with a clean symbol

4. Lastly, colour it in with markers of your choice. If done properly, it should look much like the symbol.

Any questions? Feel free to ask

I'm sorry I can't offer any critique or advice or anything. I've never drawn a dragon before, so I really can't help much. :XD:

It looks amazing though. The detail is wonderful and you have such a cool style. I really wish I could think of more to say, something that would actually be helpful.

I say that you can draw dragons.

You will, however, need to do a bit of research to realise the meaning and origins of the dragon. Although most, if not all of my drawings, are backed up by 12 years of experience, researching the subject is still essential in it's own respect. It just makes the drawing that much more interesting.

I can teach you how if you'd like,
Dom
