I left my heart in Paragon

"The loveliness of Prae seems somehow sadly gay,
The glory that was Cim is of another day,
I've been terribly alone and forgotten in Rogue Isles,
I'm going home to my city by the Bay.

I left my heart in Paragon City,
High on a hill, it calls to me.
To be where heroes small and large fly halfway to the stars,
The DA fog may chill the air, I don't care.

My love waits there in Paragon City,
Above the blue and windy sea,
When I come home to you, Paragon City.
Your golden sun will shine for me."

I'm sure Mr. Bennett wont mind me borrowing his song: www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/t/to….

Part of me wants to say that today, a City of heroes is gone and the world is a little darker. But I know this isn't true. Yes, our City is gone--but her people--and her heroes are not. And as long as we're together and here--then there is still hope. And memory. Those are things that can't be taken away from us. To all the Devs and Designers who made City of Heroes and Villains and Going Rogue possible, thank you. You had a one of a kind game and gave us great service. And to the community who welcomed me and made me part of their city--especially Victory Global on my home server of Victory (I'd list you all if I could)--thank you for the great times, levels, trials, and XP. You allowed me to make seven of my small army 50s--and make them incarnates, 3 of those top tier. To my friends who introduced me to Paragon and fought alongside me and gave me a base to call home--thank you. To all those players last nigh who turned Virtue and Freedom red, and all other North American servers yellow, meaning that the game still meant a lot to hundreds of players--thank you. Lastly, to my beloved alt army--who returned, sans two, this week. I know the game wouldn't have meant what it was without you and the community. There are many stories to tell--and hopefully, in the future when the pain is not so fresh, I will tell them.

Farewell Paragon. Farewell Rogue Isles. Farewell Praetoria. You are still loved and will never be forgotten.
