Ascending In Spirals
(artwork is Sinclair - check him out)
A steel cable exists
Between my and your heart
Sure, the supporting buttresses are crumbled,
But that cable is indestructible. Even 3000 miles away.
I know I know it, you know it,
Is the taught enough to tug when it matters?
A cave exists,
It has four chambers, each distinct,
Each a purpose – in, out, in, out
But one holds a lit candle, inextinguishable
There’s a blind breeze through the organ
But it can’t extinguish what has been placed in it;
That breeze is time and distance
And it’s fucking useless. It means nothing.
The candle will always flicker for you,
The cable will be tight,
Fire and steel do not register transgression
They are eternal. They remain.
And crumbled buttress stones can be used as stairs.
