I noticed it's been two years since my last journal here. Time sure flies fast! Yes, I'm still alive. However, I don't think I'll be drawing pony again anytime soon... if ever. Don't get me wrong, though: I'm still watching the show/movies and reading the comics (I'm up-to-date on both fronts). What really happened is that two years ago I started drawing a comic of my own, and I devoted pretty much all of my (spare) time and attention to it. So, you could say I moved on from drawing pony. Still, it was fun while it lasted, and I'm glad that lots of other people enjoyed my stuff. It was also great practice, as I learned lots of new techniques that I'm now using on my own comic project. So, yeah. That's pretty much it. So long, and see you when I see you!

E-ques-tri-a girls, we're kind of magical!
Boots on hooves, bikinis on top!

No, wait...

So, I watched Equestria Girls last weekend. My verdict? It was... pretty good actually! I enjoyed it for the most part. No, it wasn't perfect, but I think the pony team did a pretty decent job with the (admittedly not very exciting) premise Hasbro chucked at them. Kudos to Meghan McCarthy for steering what should have been a horrible trainwreck into something that is actually watchable, even brilliant at certain points. Yes, I know this is Hasbro's transparent attempt at competing with Mattel's Monster High. Yes, there are lots of the usual high school tropes and stuff. But, you know what? I still think the good outweighed the bad. I know for a fact I laughed out loud at several points in the movie. The songs were catchy and fun, Twilight was still Twilight, even as a human. Likewise, Spike was still Spike, even as a dog. And it was fun seeing all the familiar faces in an alternate universe setting. So yeah. All in all, I had a good time watching it.

Still, I sure hope the next movie is 100% pony! =P

The first issue is available now!
If you like the show and reading comics, chances are you're gonna love it. I know I did!…

I, for one, am so looking forward to this!
So, my previous journal entry got terribly outdated and I needed to write a new one to push it away from the front page. And since I like video games and the E3 is almost here, why not making a journal post about it?

So, yeah. I'm looking forward to Nintendo's conference the most. I wonder kind of announcements/games they've got in store? I guess we'll see very soon!
A small but very vocal minority disliked Derpy's portrayal in "The Last Round-up" enough to stir up controversy and stuff. Apparently, such ridiculously contrived controversy made it to the MLP:FiM staff, and now some (mainly senior storyboarder Sibsy) have expressed concern that Derpy might just never be seen again in the show.

If that is the case, well... Way to go, fandom. You've just killed your own creation. I'm sure you are very proud of yourselves.

And this is why we can't have nice things.

Well, now go after Snails, Patrick Star, Goofy, Ralph Wiggum, Cleveland Jr, and every other such characters out there that greatly out-derp Derpy and yet never had any lame "controversy" around them that I heard of.
Brand new Deviant Art gallery is brand new!
Things around here will be kinda empty for a while, but hopefully not forever (FOREVERRR).
I'm working on a little pony-related something now, but it won't be finished for a good three or four months from now, so...yeah. Stay tuned or something, maybe. *shrugpony*
