I noticed it's been two years since my last journal here. Time sure flies fast! Yes, I'm still alive. However, I don't think I'll be drawing pony again anytime soon... if ever. Don't get me wrong, though: I'm still watching the show/movies and reading the comics (I'm up-to-date on both fronts). What really happened is that two years ago I started drawing a comic of my own, and I devoted pretty much all of my (spare) time and attention to it. So, you could say I moved on from drawing pony. Still, it was fun while it lasted, and I'm glad that lots of other people enjoyed my stuff. It was also great practice, as I learned lots of new techniques

So, I watched Equestria Girls last weekend. My verdict? It was... pretty good actually! I enjoyed it for the most part. No, it wasn't perfect, but I think the pony team did a pretty decent job with the (admittedly not very exciting) premise Hasbro chucked at them. Kudos to Meghan McCarthy for steering what should have been a horrible trainwreck into something that is actually watchable, even brilliant at certain points. Yes, I know this is Hasbro's transparent attempt at competing with Mattel's Monster High. Yes, there are lots of the usual high school
