UPDATE: I have chosen to give the Core membership to BudderMeow!

:iconbuddermeow:
BudderMeow

Yes, that's right!  This is a giveaway!  The first 20 people who enter will get 1 point each, and one awesome person will get a FREE 1 month Core Membership! (Core membership has been given away already to BudderMeow!, but we still have plenty of space for free points and a feature!)   The next 20 people will end up in a feature.  You don't have to advertise anything, write a journal, or anything like that.  However, you MUST follow the directions!

WHAT YOU CAN WIN

FIRST PRIZE (Given to one person chosen by me who properly enters the contest by January 1, 2017)
1 month FREE Core Membership from deviantART
[This has been given away already to BudderMeow!]

SECOND PRIZE (Given to the first 20 people who enter the contest properly)
1 deviantART point [Still have plenty of spaces open!]

THIRD PRIZE (Given to the next 20 people who enter the contest properly)
1 work of yours in a feature

HOW TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY

1. Post one good thing that you promise to do for someone else.
Just reply to this journal and leave a detailed description of something you promise you will do for someone else.  It doesn't have to be anyone on deviantART or the Internet.  It doesn't have to cost money, either.  Anything nice and helpful will do.  It can be volunteering for a charity, doing a feature for others, giving someone a hug, giving a treat to your pet ... anything!  Just as long as it is something positive.  Please just make sure it's not doing something mean to a bad person like punching a Nazi, reporting people to deviantART, etc.  I appreciate the good intentions, but please keep this positive!  It doesn't have to be anything extravagant.  Just do what your heart tells you.

2. Do the good deed.
You don't have to do it right away (because being eligible to receive CORE membership in this contest only lasts until January 1st).  However, whatever it is you do, please go do it!  I have no way of making sure that you do, but just knowing that there is a possibility you will do it is enough for me.  I trust you.

That's basically all you need to do!

RULES

- To be eligible for the free CORE membership, you need to post by January 1st and be one of the first 20 people to apply for this giveaway correctly.  That is the time limit, and I'm sorry that it is a very short contest. [The Core membership prize has already been given to  BudderMeow, but we still have room for people to enter to receive points!].
- To be eligible for winning 1 deviantART point, you must be one of the first 20 people to enter this contest properly.  There is no due date for this, but hurry because I have a feeling a lot of people will join!
- To be eligible for the feature, you must be one of the second 20 people (21st to 41st person to enter) who enters correctly.  This has no due date, but you still might want to hurry.
- I'm sorry, but only the first 41 people to enter correctly will be receiving any prizes.  I will see if I can help you out later, but I still appreciate if you want to enter this giveaway just to announce that you will do a good thing for someone else!
- Please do the right thing.  If you promise to do something good, go out and do it!  Like I said before, I can't make sure you do it, but I'm sure at least a few people will do good on their promises!
- No Robin Hoods....  Make sure the good deed is a real good deed that does not cause harm.  Being mean to someone who is bad does NOT count as a good deed here, whether or not it was justified.  I call this the "No Robin Hoods" rules because Robin Hood stole from the rich to give to the poor, and though that's a really nice thing to do, I just want you to be positive.  So kicking an animal abuser, tattling on someone who cheated on a test, etc. is not what I want you to do.  Giving your mom a holiday card, hugging your dog, donating to UNICEF, telling one of your loved ones that you care, ... these are all some examples of things you can do.  It can be simple, and it doesn't have to cost money.

I think that's about it.  Oh, and if you have time, please visit my groups:

No pressure though!  I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!
