So go to Youtube, go to My Channel, go to Video Manager, and then I believe you go to Channel in the side menu. It'll show you some more options in the mena, but I think you can get verified by staying in the Status and Features submenu. It'll show you what you can and can't do and if you're verified or not.
The way I became verified was by uploading my fantroll video. I went into the options and advanced settings menus and I saw in one of them that I could become verified. I right-clicked the little blue link and opened it in a new tab and it said that to verify my account I would need to provide my phone number or email or whatever so they could send me a code to enter. I got my code a few seconds after having them send it and entered it in the little box that appeared on screen. Then I hit verify and it . . verified me. XD You can't have copyright strikes, though, or community guidelines strikes. Or at least you can't have a lot of them. I don't have any so it was all good for me. Now I can upload longer videos and other things, but that was really what I was happiest for.
