Introduction to Blood Magic - Inner Essences
Bloody watched her professor intently as she regained her seating behind the table, having brought back two different Hemosanguinite blood stones from his box. This assignment was perhaps the most interesting to her in theory simply because of its ties with blood. And now that she was seated and watching her teacher let his blood drop onto the smooth stone's surface, she felt her interest peaking even more. The stone's reaction to his blood, what with all of the glowing and cloudy swirls just under the surface of the stone, fascinated her. Watching it, her red eyes seemed to briefly flash.
After the professor's demonstration, her gaze flitted down to her own stones. She seemed rather excited by this project, though it wasn't exactly as though she were shaking with giddiness or smiling with glee. Her eyes merely widened, and her expression was free of boredom or any traces of a smirk or a snark. She picked up the cool
Introduction to Written Magic - Rune Practice
Bloody had spent a day reading from the recommended texts assigned by her professor on runes. She'd seen them before, of course, though understood very little about them. Before diving into her assignment, she had taken a few hours to sit down with Elder Futhark's book and studied the alphabet inside, committing the letter symbols to memory. She wanted to memorize their shapes as soon as possible for future uses in the class, otherwise she felt that she'd fall behind. Introduction to Spoken Magic - Floral Incantation
Bloody held her flower of choice, a pink lily, between her clawed index finger and thumb, seemingly studying it with scrutinizing eyes. The fuchsia plant's petals shimmered faintly in the sunlight as she turned it slowly in her hold and sat outside on the cold stone table where she had suggested the other members of her group meet. As soon as the assignment had been given, she had a particular spell in mind--one that had stricken her as interesting during one of her many nightly reading sessions in her dorm. It was a more complex spell, and she would likely only be able to cast the more basic aspects of it, but it would test her and would provide her with at least a little of experience with incantations, right? That was all that mattered.
She stopped twirling the flower in between her fingers and inhaled through her nose, her red eyes still focusing intensely on the plant as she gave a small, definite nod. She was ready
