My New Drawing Monitor by SavannaEGoth My New Drawing Monitor by SavannaEGoth
SO ONE OF MY AWESOME FRIENDS GOT ME THIS PROFESSIONAL ART MONITOR FOR MY BIRTHDAY, AND ENDED UP SURPRISING ME WITH IT LAST NIGHT SINCE IT CAME IN LATE.  LIKE, THEY DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT ON MY BIRTHDAY AND JUST BROUGHT IT TO ME LAST NIGHT WHEN I REALIZED I HAD LEFT MY WACOM BAMBOO'S PEN AT HOME AND WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FINISH MY COMMISSION PIECE BEFORE BED.  They filmed it, so I can prolly get one of them to send me the video of the unwrapping.  I kind of want to see the confusion on my face turning quickly into shock and stunned silence, TBH.

IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM.  I'M BETTING THAT DRAWING WILL BE A LOT FASTER NOW SINCE I'M A LOT FASTER AT TRADITIONAL ART THAN DIGITAL ANYWAYS.  LOVELY!!!!!!!!!

(Plus that glove is so comfortable and light that I forget I have it on and I really, really like how it looks.  Whenever I draw myself now I'm going to draw myself with that glove rather than my fingerless gloves.  YES.

Ugee!  <3  I've been using an Ugee as well!  Great alternative to the brands that cost you an arm & a leg, I think you'll be happy with it!  :D

IT'S SO NICE AND EASY TO USE.  I HAVE FUN WITH IT AND THIS GLOVE IS STILL WONDERFUL TO WEAR.  I LITERALLY HAD A MINI PHOTOSHOOT TODAY BECAUSE I FEEL SO FLY WEARING IT, DUDE.

Heh,awesome!also, you got a little Homestuck Mousepad,I might buy me one once I get a new computer.i use iPads to draw, mostly cause drawing one of those drawing tablet thingies that go to computers is like reading the 50 shades o grey, hard and painful to do,I also like that I get to touch stuff and put my fingers to work.but I'm happy that your happy Dave Strider

Haha, yup!  Nice eye.  XD
I find that using them is actually really easy if you keep up with it.  Like, my first dozen or so pieces with the tablet took forever and were kind of frustrating, but then I just started whipping them out and I use them for more than just art.  It took awhile to make steady lines, and it's still tricky sometimes.  With this new monitor I'll have to calibrate it every so often, but it rocks and I enjoy using it.
Thanks, hon!

Maybe.  Professional art colleges do offer digital art and animation classes, though most community colleges and universities offer traditional mediums only, or computer graphic deisgn (which consists of using a mouse and vector programs, so there's really no drawing).

Is what hard to do?  Getting the drawing monitors, or using them?  Or drawing tablets in general?
